Your Basket You can buy any Penguin Books Ltd title in print through penguin.co.uk, as long as it is in stock. To do this, place the items you wish to buy in your Shopping Basket. You can add any item to your Shopping Basket at any time, but this does not mean you have to buy it. You can also easily remove it at any time. Your Basket displays everything you have added to your basket: title, price per item, number of items, and total price (if you want more than one copy of any item). It allows you to review, check and, if you want to, change the quantities and the items that you have in your basket. The Empty Basket button allows you to completely clear out the contents of your basket at any time. You should select Update every time you make a change. This refreshes the details on the page. Registration and Checkout Once you have placed an item in your shopping basket, you will need to
login to proceed with the purchase. The first time you login, you should
check I am a new customer. If you have previously bought something from
penguin.co.uk, or registered with us before, you should check I am already
a Penguin customer and you will see your have previously entered details. If you are a new customer, you will need to fill in a few personal details.
The details with a star* next to them must be filled in - the other details
are useful but are not essential to your order. (USEFUL TIP- If you use
Internet Explorer as your browser, you can tick the Autofill box in your
browsers preferences or options, which saves time when filling in
any standard forms like this.) The Hint box on this page is the place
to enter a word that will remind you of your password. At the bottom of the page you are asked if your Billing Address is different
from your Delivery Address. If you would like your purchases to be sent
to a different address from your payment receipt, then tick Yes and fill
in the Delivery Address form that appears next. If not, then you will
proceed to a summary of the information you have entered so far. You can
change any of these details on this page. When you are happy that your details are correct, continue to the next
page. This is a summary of your order including delivery charges and any
tax payable. You can still cancel your order here if you want to. Next, proceed to the payment screens to complete your credit or debit
card details. All payments are processed by WorldPay. You will see their
logo on these screens. Please make sure your card details are correct.
On completing your details you will receive a message on screen confirming
your payment has been accepted. Your order has now been sent and you will
see your order receipt on screen. We recommend you print this page for
your records. You will receive two emails. One from penguin.co.uk confirming your order has been received, and the other from WorldPay confirming your payment was successful. |
