'I must admit that I would not have chosen this myself, as there are a lot of noise-making books around, and some of them are a bit of a pain! However, this book did stand out for the quality of the sound (meaningful sounds, not just some crash which gets fuzzier, the more it is played) and the quantity of noises (this is unlike any other noise book I''ve seen; most other books seem to play just one noise). As for the text itself, I liked the fact that it was rhyming (again, other noise books seem to be more interested in the noise than the story). One point to make is that the buttons are a bit hard for little fingers to press (my son is 2). This could either be a pain (as Mummy must participate in all readings, and can be pestered), or a relief (the noises will not go on, endlessly, without a parent''s being able to stop them)! For us, it makes a nice book which we read together, and it makes me rather proud to be pestered to read!'
