'My 5-year-old and I enjoyed reading this book together. It reminded me of the Topsy and Tim stories I enjoyed as a child. My daughter commented on how similar the story was to our own experiences of camping (although I don''t recall any problems with ''naughty boys'' or faulty campstoves). She was able to read it entirely independently too which, as a relatively new reader, is a bonus. The only disappointment was the use of Mummy and Dad... why not Mummy and Daddy or Mum and Dad? The combination of titles was odd and didn''t scan well. '
